WHY TREAT AND REMOVE WASP NESTS?
Wasp stings and are potentially very dangerous as the venom can cause anaphylactic shock to people who are allergic to stings.
Wasp nests which are accessible should be removed after treatment, due to redundant nests acting like a magnet to other insect pests. Old nests very quickly become infested with, bugs, beetles, mite and parasites which then become a problem in the rooms below.
THE WASP NEST REMOVAL PROCESS
A direct treatment is when the wasp nest is visible and accessible. In this situation we would freeze the nest which a professional use insecticide. If the wasp nest is small to medium in size, we can normally break them off and take them away the same day. In late season when the wasp nest is very large, we would have to make the removal visit a week after treatment to ensure safe removal.
An indirect treatment is when the wasp nest is not visible. This can be a cavity wall, inside a canopy or going through under floor air bricks. In this situation we use a professional use power duster to treat the entrance route into the nest.
